Reach out to universities
The BEC board approved a project to reinforce our contacts with universities and to foster the knowledge about standards at universities and for their students. This could cover the whole process: from standards development over using standards for product compliance to the added value for a company to take active part in the standards development process as business development.
The first step is to elaborate a list of electrotechnical and general management universities.
The second step is to reach out to these universities to assess their needs. Is there any possibility to include more education on standards? On what topics? How long? Is the NBN educational platform with free read-only access for students known and used?
The training could range from one hour to one semester hour. It is scheduled to take some appointments during the lesson free week after the exams.
The next step is to roll out the training.
