CENELEC publishes the 2nd edition of Guide 32
CENELEC has published the second edition of Guide 32 – Guidelines for Safety-Related Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction for Low Voltage Equipment. The updated guide provides guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment and risk reduction, supporting Technical Committees in developing safety standards for low-voltage equipment.
The revised edition reflects technological developments and introduces additional considerations, including child safety, entrapment, choking and suffocation hazards, as well as previously uncovered risk scenarios.
The guide is an important reference for Technical Committees developing standards under the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and supports a consistent approach to electrical safety in European standardization.
