Vito Garzone, New Chairman for BEC TC 40 “Capacitors and Resistors for Electronic Equipment”

At its most recent meeting on 31 March 2025, the BEC Technical Committee 40 elected Mr. Vito Garzone as its new Chairman. He succeeds Mr. Bruno Van Beneden, who recently retired from Vishay.

Mr. Garzone holds a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, earned in 2022 from the Polytechnic University of Bari in Italy. He began his professional journey the same year at Thales in Tubize, serving as an IVVQ and System Engineer in the defence sector.

In 2024, he joined Vishay in Evere, where he currently works as a Product Marketing Engineer specializing in non-linear resistors. His career has consistently involved close engagement with IEC standards, as well as a strong emphasis on technical specifications, validation processes, and industry compliance.

We welcome Mr. Garzone in his new role and look forward to his contributions in guiding the committee’s ongoing technical work.
