Mr. Emmanuel DE JAEGER
Emmanuel De Jaeger is Professor of Electrical Energy and Power Systems at the University of Louvain (UCLouvain), Louvain School of Engineering (Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain), since 2012.
He has been with Laborelec (ENGIE Lab - Research and Competence Centre in Electrical Power Technology) from 1991 to 2012. He has held various positions from R&D engineer to Technical Director of the Electricity Grids and End-Use Department and, finally, Scientific Director.
He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louvain, received in 1985 and 1991 respectively.
Moreover, he serves as Chair of the Belgian IEC mirror committees TC 77 and TC 8, is a member of the board of directors of CEB-BEC, and acts as the Belgian expert in several IEC and ISO international committees. He previously chaired the IEC SC77A committee at the international level and was a member of the ACEC (IEC Advisory Committee on EMC) from 2013 to 2022.
