Three BEC experts honored with IEC 1906 Award at NBN Thank You Event

On November 28, 2024, during the NBN Thank You Event, three distinguished BEC experts were celebrated for their exceptional contributions to international standardization.
The recognition came in the form of the IEC 1906 Award, presented by the President, Martin Dierickx, and Secretary General, Dirk De Moor, of the BEC.
While Didier Liémans and Pierre-André Monfils received their awards during the event, Bachir Bella was unable to attend. However, he collected his award later at the BEC office.
- Bachir Bella, Director of Sustainability and Product Safety at Copeland, and a valued member of Technical Committee 61.
- Didier Liémans, Responsible Engineering - R&D at Nexans Benelux and a dedicated member of Technical Committee 20. He became a Belgian member of the IEC TC20 WG16 in 2003 and was appointed Convenor of the group in 2020. Additionally, he joined the IEC TC20 WG19 in 2005 and was designated as the IEC TC20 representative in IEC ACTAD in 2024.
- Pierre-André Monfils, former Senior Expert at General Electric and an active participant in Technical Committee 38.
