M. Rony HAENTJENS

Rony Haentjens is Standardization and Certification Manager at NIKO nv, a Belgian company specializing in electrical accessories for fixed residential installations.

He began his career at NIKO in 1984 as a test engineer, and from day one, standards have been a constant thread throughout his professional journey.

Rony is married, has one daughter, and brings over four decades of experience in the electrical industry.

Since 1999, he has been actively involved in national and international standardization in the fields of electrical safety, EMC, installation rules, and sustainability. He serves as Assistant Secretary of IEC/TC 23 on Electrical Accessories and is President of four CEB-BEC technical committees.

Together with a team of three young engineers, he now monitors and manages the ever-growing wave of EU legislation and standardization projects impacting the company.
