A new Technical Committee is born
The documents and projects under CLC/BTTF 116-2 need to be revised from time to time, which means that the group's work no longer corresponds to a “Bureau Technique Task Force (BTTF)”. Due to the ongoing tasks, the work of the BTTF is indeed no longer temporary but permanent. It is therefore necessary to create a TC in which all desired work items can be processed and executed.
CEB-BEC TC 220 ‘Alcohol interlocks’ has therefore been established with the following scope: “Development of a series of European standards on alcohol interlocks to improve road, transport, workplace and individual safety by preventing people with a alcohol level above a specified limit from operating vehicles and equipment or engaging in unsafe activities. And, if necessary, to extend the series of European standards to include drug detection.”
The secretariat is allocated to the German National Committee.
